Jewish Film Festival
A new illustration created for the ARTS section of the Hartford Courant. The Hartford Jewish Film festival is currently running through April 5th of 2011. This year, one of my personal goals as an illustrator is to push myself and the concepts and sketches that I create. I want to simplify them and make them smarter if you will. In this particular assignment, we felt that the most recognizable Jewish symbol in a universal sense is the Star of David. The challenge was how to take this symbol that has been illustrated and used so many times and try to show something uniquely different and yet still communicate quickly. Thank you, Elizabeth for the opportunity to work with you again. Collage and mixed media.
