FAMINE . . .

Nourishment. A simple necessity that I often take for granted. This series was inspired by the recent news of the severe drought in the Horn of Africa. Having never been truly hungry, I cannot begin to grasp walking miles on end in search of food and water. More than 12 million lives have been threatened as families travel long distances (sometimes 10 to 15 days) in search of food. Famine has been declared in parts of southern Somalia and threatens to spread further. A portion of the proceeds from this project will be donated directly to World Vision’s “Horn of Africa Food Crisis.” For more information on how you might help and to see the entire ongoing FAMINE collection available in Full-size Gallery Prints, Note Card Sets, Originals & Collectibles, please join us on November 11th for an evening of art, wine and music. All original works will be on hand and available for purchase. Gallery prints are signed by the artist and printed on archival, acid free fine art paper. Click here for more information. "My hope is that these images will inspire you to do admirable things by using your talents for the greater good of others." – Wayne Brezinka
