Killin Two Birds . . .

Check out the cover for Grace Pettis - new album "Two Birds", coming out mid September. I'm excited to be working with this talented singer/songwriter. Winner of the 2011 Kerrville Folk Festival, this album will knock your socks off!  She and her dad became the first father-child combo to have won New Folk, which he captured in 1987, three months before Grace was born. The album is produced by veteran singer-songwriter-master guitarist Billy Crockett. Here's a sneak peak into my process and "the making of" along with a few other covers that were presented. It's no secret that I'm not a fan of fake drop-shadows and digital imaging (although I do use them from time to time) - hence all the cut outs . . . organic baby!
